The Forbes Chapters: About Becoming A Shoptiques Boutique

Muncie Citywide Comedy Jam

Every month we make our way to Muncie for the Muncie Citywide Comedy Jam where we PopUp. We started our business by popping up in on various campuses in the US and Kenya and we stay true to our origin and PopUp in cities that invite us to participate in their local events.

Muncie Indiana is one of those cities. We also have a huge customer base there who come out to shop and take selfies with us and we absolutely love bringing various deals from our boutique to them to shop in their city.

The Celebrity & Humanitarian Chapters: One Billion Rising

T-Shirts are some of our best sellers at PopUps and even at the boutique. We've featured T-Shirts from Small Biz Designers like Rue Violet that sold out within weeks. Kellita happened to notice one of our shirts when we went to LA for one of our premiers. She had an upcoming interview for the One Billion Rising Movement at Universal Studios and decided that the orange shirt she had spotted in our collection of pieces was what she was going to wear. Of course because she is Kellita she had a whole twist for it. She's a fashion maven and wanted the shirt turned into an asymmetrical piece. We had to cut off the neckline and hand sew it for her to wear to Universal Studios where the filming of her interview was being done. As a Business of any size... you have the power to make a difference in your community and beyond your community. As a celebrity, you hold that power too. We are honored to have dressed Ms. Smith as she shared her story with and for The One Billion Rising Movement. The shirt is an image of family members huddled together and embracing each other and was part of our Jamii Collection and hand painted by Irene Wasonga. Jamii is a Swahili word for Family.

September 1st 2016: Faux Lashes

Makeup tips & tutorials are not for everyone. Don't ever feel the need to be something you are not simply because everyone else is doing it. We created this video because it's a conversation that comes up a lot as I style various ladies and also get hired to style for various events. The one thing I always ask our clients though is are you comfortable? Do you like the way you look and feel? If so go on with the look, if not, alter it until you are comfortable enough to be your best self. Beauty comes in various shapes, sizes, textures and styles. There isn't one way to be beautiful and therefore you shouldn't have to boxed into being anything you do not wish to be: E.A.Wasonga (CEO at Love's Hangover)
